Thomso , the Annual Cultural Festival of IIT-Roorkee, has been the most zestful and extraordinary cultural bonanza of North India for the past few years.Lasting for three memorable days in IIT campus the fest leaves little to be desired in terms of vivacity, glitz and pure brilliance.The essence of the fest is displayed by the large number of events it has right away from scintillating fashion shows, to mesmerizing rock concerts cocomitant with variety of cultural events displaying a right blend of indian culture with that of the western world.

With plethora of events the festival provides an avenue to the students to showcase their talent and grab lucrative prizes. Vogue, Battle of Bands, Rock Show (Wargasm), Footloose being some of the events which have received heavy participation from all 
parts of the country every year.



THOMSO 2010 faced many controversies on the lipstick competetion.The boys were made to put lipstick on girls face by holding it in their mouth and without any use of their hands
